A healthy lose weight

Energy needs and weight loss Your body uses food for energy. It stores any excess
energy as fat. This means that if you eat more food than your body needs for daily operations and maintenance of
cells, you will gain weight. To lose weight you need for your body to use these stores of fat. The most effective way to do this is: reduce the amount of calories you eat increase your activity level.
This is why experts talk about weight loss in terms of diet and exercise.
Introduce changes progressivemen Small changes can make a big difference. A cookie additional week can save you ?5 a year - cuts that cookie on your diet and you lose the same amount.
You're also more likely to stick to, say, the exchange of full-fat milk for semi-skimmed or take the time to breakfast each morning of a plan that sets rules for all
foods .
You should think of weight loss in lightfastness change your eating habits. Although weight loss goals are usually set in terms of weeks, the end of the game is to sustain these changes over months and years, change in
lifestyle that is life.

lifestyle that is life. Increase your level of activity
Someone who increases the amount they exercise, but maintains the same diet and calorie intake, will almost
certainly lose weight.
No matter if you hate gyms - even light exercise such as short 20 minute walk will be beneficial if done most days
of the week. Each time you exercise more than usual, you burn calories
and fat. There are many ways to increase the amount of activity you do. Team sports, racket sports, aerobics, walking, , swimming and cycling will all improve your fitness level.
Find something you love, it's easy for you to do in terms
of location and cost. You are therefore more likely to
incorporate into your routine and continue to exercise,
despite inevitably missing the odd session through
holidays, family commitments, etc.
Get out and on weekends. Leave your car on the drive and
walk to the shops. Try to incorporate longer walks into
outings to the park, coast or countryside and take a
picnic, you control what you eat that day.
Each additional step helps. Always use the stairs instead
of elevators, or get off the bus one stop before the
usual and walk the rest of the road.
Use commercial breaks between TV programs to get up and
exercise, or consider using an exercise bike in the
lounge while watching your favorite program.
Reduce your intake of calories
if you're overweight, you can not continue with your
current eating habits, if you really want to lose weight.
It is not possible to reduce body fat while eating lots
of food, cakes and sweets. This does not mean that you
will never have candy, but you must learn to limit these
foods in small quantities - for example, for special
occasions.
In terms of weight loss, you can get your body to burn
the existing stores of fat by eating less and making
healthier choices.
This does not mean crash diet (anything less than 1500
calories), which usually ends with you either weakened or
waive out of desperation. miracle diets can lead to a yo-
yo effect of drastic weight loss followed by weight gain,
causing a vicious circle.
There are no shortcuts to losing weight the healthy and
reasonable.
Eating 300 to 500 calories less per day should lead to a
loss of between one and two pounds per week. Is a
realistic goal. It may seem slow, but it could add up to
a weight loss of more than three stones in one year.
Fat contains more calories, all food types (proteins,
carbohydrates), then a good way to do this is to reduce
fatty foods and eat more whole grain bread, fruits and
vegetables .
Here are ways to reduce calories without having to change
your diet significantly.
Replace soft drinks and fruit cordials with water.
Swap whole milk for semi-skimmed or semi-skimmed for
skimmed.
Eat fewer meals than usual. For example, make your own
sandwich and limit the use of margarine or butter and
full fat mayonnaise (store-bought sandwiches often
contain both). Stop taking sugar in tea and coffee.
Have small portions of foods you love. Avoid having a second portion at dinner.
Cut out unhealthy treats - such as confectionery, sweet biscuits and crisps between meals. Reduce alcohol intake.
All these things will influence your health positively. Finally, do not be tempted to skip breakfast - or any meal to lose weight. While skipping a meal will reduce your calorie intake for the time you leave a lot hungrier later.
Not only are you likely to overeat to compensate, but you'll often makebad choices to fill the gap: a cereal bar is not as healthy as a bowl of cereal or filling, eading you to a "need" something extra for lunch.
Irregular eating habits also disrupt your body's metabolism, which makes it more difficult to lose weight first.

5 Tips for Natural Skin Care

Hi Friends, Tip 1: Give Yourself a Dry Brush Exfoliation

A dry brush exfoliation can be done in the morning before you shower. It eliminates dead skin cells and allows the skin to detox (skin is the largest organ of elimination). Dry brush exfoliation also improves lymph and blood circulation and decreases puffiness. An added benefit is that the gentle pressure is calming to the nervous system. To give yourself a dry brush exfoliation, you'll need a soft, natural bristle brush.
Tip 2: Rev Up Your Digestion

In alternative medicine, good skin is a reflection of a good digestive system. People with skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis often suffer from constipation, imbalanced "good" vs. "bad" bacteria, leaky gut, and other digestive conditions. The two most common sluggish digestion culprits are:

  • Culprit #1: Not Enough Water Water bathes cells and eliminates waste products, preventing constipation. 5 Ways to Boost Your Water Intake
  • Culprit #2: Not Enough Fiber Most people lack fiber in their diets - the average person eats only 12 g of fiber a day. In 2002, the National Academy of Sciences Food and Nutrition Board established recommended fiber intakes. For men aged 19-50 years, 38 g fiber is recommended, and for men over 50, 31 g fiber is recommended. For women aged 19 to 50 years, 25 g fiber is recommended, and for women over 50, 21 g fiber is recommended.
Some suggestions:
    1. Add Whole Grains - Choose whole grain products over refined. Have brown rice instead of white or make your own 50:50 combination.
    2. An Apple a Day - Have an apple, skin on, as a snack.
    3. Eat Cauliflower - Try this delicious Roasted Cauliflower recipe!
    4. High-fiber snacks - Snack on nuts, seeds, and dried fruit, such as dates, figs, and prunes.
    5. Try a "Prune Power" Smoothie - Prunes are a great source of fiber. Start your day with this tasty Prune Power smoothie.
    6. Eat Beans and Legumes - Open a can of your favorite beans or legumes. Rinse them well and add them to your meal.
    7. Ground Flaxseeds - For any easy fiber boost, sprinkle ground flaxseeds (available at health food stores) on rice, salads, oatmeal, or any other meal. Store flaxseeds in the fridge.
Tip 3: Invigorate Sluggish Circulation

Do you sit at your desk for hours, only getting up to go to the bathroom? One of the best things you can do for your skin, stress level, and overall health is to get moving! Inactivity may affect skin and promote bloating and puffiness, acne, cellulite, and loss of muscle tone. You'll learn more about exercise in Step 9 of the Wellness Makeover. Here are some quick suggestions:
  • Take a quick break to go outside and walk around the block.
  • Book a massage therapy appointment.
  • Close your door and stretch.
  • Go to the gym.
  • Start each morning by stretching.
  • Get a skipping rope.
Tip #4: Avoid Excess Sugar

Most people do not realize this but excess sugar is considered one of the main causes of premature aging. The more sugar we eat, the more sugar we have entering our bloodstream. Over time, this can result in a process known as glycation, which is when a glucose (sugar) molecule damages a protein molecule by sticking to it. The new molecules formed are called advanced glycation end-products, or AGEs. AGEs damage collagen in skin, cartilage, and ligaments and promote a loss of elasticity. Wrinkles form and skin begins to sag.
  • Try This - It may seem impossible to reduce your sugar intake, but it can be done! A gradual approach works best. In the next week, choose one thing you're going to do to decrease the amount of sugar you consume. For example, start by cutting the amount of sugar in your daily coffee or tea by half. Every week, find another way you can decrease your sugar intake. Pretty soon, you'll be surprised at how far you've come!
Tip #5: Eat Some Good Fats

Essential fatty acids are simply fats your body cannot live without. They are needed to make cell membranes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Essential fats are thought to keep your heart healthy, fight inflammation, and possibly prevent cancer. They are also particularly important to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne, and also for people with dry skin. People with essential fat deficiency sometimes notice bumps on the backs of their arms. Here are my suggestions on getting more essential fats:
  • Flaxseed and walnut oil - Use flaxeed oil or walnut oil with balsamic vinegar as a salad dressing. Be sure to keep these oils refrigerated. They should not be heated or used for cooking.
  • Cold water fish - Sardines are a good source of essential fats. Salmon is another good source, however these salmon accumulate toxic polychlorinated biphenyls (otherwise known as PCBs) in their body fat during the 95 percent of their lives they spend at sea.
  • Supplements - Consider fish oil supplements.

The weight loss formula

There are no shortcuts to this process no matter whose products you eat and drink.

1. Eat your major meal of the day at breakfast or don’t bother trying to lose weight - you'll just gain it back.

2. Drink one Protein shake as a replacement for one meal per day and another for a snack or as a replacement meal.

3. Eat a variety of fresh vegetables – in other words – complex carbohydrates.

4. Eat good-quality proteins – but no dairy, red meat greatly restricted.

5. Drink lots of water. Water is how you rinse the poisons out of your body and is the principal method by which weight is lost.

6. Keep your daily simple carbohydrate intake to no more than 35 grams.

7. Move your body a minimum of 20 minutes a day. Sweat those toxins and extra weight off. Don't forget to drink plenty of water.

35 grams = 1.2 ounces

Complex carbohydrates are considered as good carbohydrates.

Digestion of complex carbohydrates takes longer and consumes more energy to accomplish. The slow absorption of sugars provides you with a steady metered supply of energy and limits the amount of sugar converted into fat and stored.

Simple sugars and carbohydrates are quickly converted to grape sugar – the fuel used by the body. If this fuel isn’t consumed almost immediately, it causes a sugar spike followed by a chemical depression. At this point, the consumer can easily be legally impaired and unfit to operate a motor vehicle or machinery.

Diet alone does not bring about weight loss. Exercise is at least half of the equation, usually much more. Save yourself a lot of heartache and maybe your life by understanding that you can’t lose weight or restore health without a paradigm shift in the way you live your life and that way has to include exercising vigorously.

Weight loss does not necessarily mean your health has improved. Without exercise, your health can actually get worse.

Whenever you embark on a process that will entail a significant change to the way you live your life, whether through diet or exercise, it's best to see your doctor first so that if there are any underlying issues that need to be taken into consideration, they can be dealt with before they become problems.

There has been a lot of talk about internal cleansing and for the most part, it's a process that will extend the life of those who practice and make a habit of this important health restoration technique. However, not everyone stands to gain. Sometimes, where there are underlying issues, genetic flaws and presdispositions for instance; cleansing can be the unintentional trigger that sets off an ugly life altering disease that once set in motion, can't be stopped. Don't think this can't happen to you. You don't know until you check.

These instances are rare but they do happen. That's an important reason to make sure when possible to know the medical histories of your forebears and to ensure your medical practioner knows what they are.

Bride's Hands & Feet

Fat Facts

All fats found in fresh whole foods are good, healthy, and sometimes vital. It is wise to include a full spectrum of fats in your diet, which will work hard to keep you healthy and young-looking. This, of course, is not the message we have been getting in the popular media, and because of this we have built up an unhealthy guilt complex and fear of fat.
Certain fats are indeed bad for us, but luckily it is easy to spot them. Trans fatty acids have been linked to raising "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and lowering "good" cholesterol (HDL); they are also suspected of being behind that "stubborn fat" that won't leave no matter what we do. They are the result of processing oils through hydrogenation. You can spot the presence of trans fats in a product because hydrogenated fats have to be listed in the ingredient panel of food. By adding up all the fats listed in the panel and then subtracting that number from the total listed, you will come up with the amount of trans fats in the product. However, the easiest thing to do is just avoid anything that has any hydrogenated oil in it.
Rancid fat is the other bad fat -- fat that has been mutated by oxygen, heat, moisture, and light. This fat is full of free radicals and can contribute to all the health and aging problems associated with them. At first you might think that it would be easy to avoid this one. Just reading the word "rancid" tends to make our noses wrinkle in disgust; however, we have been conditioned to accept rancid fats. The reason that dollop of butter is salty is to help preserve it and to cover up the rancid taste. Yes, butter is good for us, but rancid butter is not. That flax oil in the refrigerator is liquid gold to some, but if it is rancid, it is worse than useless. We have to retrain our noses and taste buds to discern fresh good fats from rancid bad ones. This is one reason for using unsalted rather than salted butter.
This retraining can be done by finding stores that sell their stock quickly, store their products properly, and rotate their stock on the shelf so that no old products linger there. Also check the expiration dates on products to help you find the freshest product.
Remember that the best fats come from fresh whole foods, so try making your own butter from some fresh, pure whipping cream. Add a bit of salt to taste, if you prefer it salty, and memorize the taste to compare with commercially prepared butter. If that is a bit too much work, just find the freshest frozen unsalted butter you can, and taste that. When dealing with vegetable oils, try grinding the seeds up and then smelling the fresh aroma. Again, if this is too much of a bother, just get a good smell of the oil when you first open the bottle or tin and memorize that fresh scent. As soon as you notice that the smell is off, get rid of it.
